Every now and then a clever person invents a product that makes life a lot easier. If water skiing is your life, you're going to be stoked about the Goode PowerVest. Goode Ski Technologies owner Dave Goode, a high-end competition skier himself, designed the crafty vest because of his own battles with back soreness and fatigue. He also wanted to feel stronger behind the boat. The PowerVest acts much like a hiking backpack, which reduces the load on your back by transferring the weight to your hips. This allows many benefits, such as skiing stronger, longer and with less energy. Although we haven't demoed the PowerVest on the water, our dry-land trial gave us a good idea of how the system works. We could instantly feel the reduction of load on our arms and back. MSRP: $590
