Length: 142 cm Width: 42 cm
MSRP: $359.00
Surf Style: Very good, comes around quickly despite its length.
Big Air: Good combination of edging and pop. Has very good speed coming into the wake.
Spinner: Has a light swing weight but 142 cm model feels slightly big in the air. More advanced riders should try the 137.
Inverts: Board is fairly big feeling in the air but combination of speed and pop make it good for anyone over 140 lbs.
Lightweight:
The 137 is fine for riders over 125 lbs because tip and tail are pulled in to give it more control
Heavyweight: Long enough to give big riders good confidence. Even the 137 will work for heavyweights.
Rough Water: Narrower in the nose and tail combined with thin rails and longer length makes this one of the best boards for rough water.
Comments: The Patterson model has a new bottom shape for 1999 that provides more positive tracking. Another interesting option this board provides is the 142 and shorter 137 cm model have the same width-they are not scaled versions.
