Connelly Course GS - 1

A new ski for 1999, Connelly took all of the high-end tournament qualities of the Carbon Course and made a more forgiving fiberglass version. It has the same mold as the Carbon Course, but it offers a softer flex pattern for the aggressive mid-level or tournament skier. If you're skiing into 35, 38, and 39 1/2 off, you might prefer the Carbon Course, but overall, the testers were positive about the attributes of the Course GS. It will be a ski that will make a broad level of skiers very happy.

Test Team Comments:

Doug: A predictable and comfortable ride with average acceleration. Tweak: bindings back one hole and depth added to the fin for faster acceleration.

Rhoni: A smooth and stable ski. It took more effort to get as wide compared to the Carbon Course, but its fluidness and symmetry of turns was impressive. Tweak: stock fin and bindings

Bret: Same high-performance characteristics as the Carbon Course but without the quickness. Will cover a broad level of abilities. Tweak: bindings back one hole from stock.

Brandon: It felt just like the Carbon Course but with less acceleration. Tweak: By making the tip deeper it helped my off-side turn.

Todd: Not as responsive in terms of acceleration and angle out of the turn as the Carbon Course, but it's more forgiving. Tweak: increased tip for symmetry of turns.
