The “Mini Hylon” was originally created for show skiers who wanted to perform around-the-boat tricks. That's why it sits just higher than a tournament boat's windshield and has a swiveling top.
Made of 6061 aluminum, the Mini Hylon can be custom-made to a user's exact height requirement and attaches over a standard inboard pylon without the need for straps or clamps. Maximum suggested height for the unstayed Hylon is 2 feet, but taller, stayed versions have been fabricated for wakeboard use.
For trick ski use, the Hylon can be fitted with standard safety releases and conforms to AWSA's 2-inch-diameter standard. The unit can be ordered separately or with the KaRelease heavy-duty safety-release system manufactured by the same company.
