Overview: You would never know that Sans Rival has only been manufacturing skis for a little over a year. The Austria-based ski company teamed up with a Formula 1 racecar engineer to focus heavily on the ski’s flex line and layup of carbon fiber. The ski is available in two flexes: medium (SR2) and stiff (SR1), and the majority of our testers preferred the softer flex, which gives good feedback to the skier on his or her balanced position on the ski.
We think: Fast yet controllable. You can be aggressive in the turns with no worries about the ski washing out.
