For nearly a decade, we've been looking to the year 2000 boat model year with curiosity. Would there be, as some suggested back in the 80s, boats that propel themselves about an inch off the water so as not to disturb glass tables? Could some boat manufacturer create a safe rope retrieval system that actually works? Would ski boats in the year 2000 resemble something from The Jetsons?
Those questions are now obsolete. The first boats of the new millennium are rolling out of factories at a pace never seen in the ski boat market. So, what do they look like, and more importantly, what are they like for driving and skiing? We were privileged to soak down 70 brand spanking new boats during our Y2K tests, during which we measured 'em, skied 'em and spun 'em around. That said, do we think this will be an historic year for ski boats? Take a look for yourself. SUBSCRIBE NOW!!!
