Behind the Scenes WaterSki Magazine's 2000 Wakeboard Tests
Day one: Wind advisories throughout all of central Florida
Day two: 44 degrees
30 boards still in boxes one lonely 2000 X-Star — what a sad sight.
After a slow start, Jeff Barton (“JB”) and I realized that it was time to ride hard regardless of the unseasonably cold O-Town temps. The wind began to cooperate, and we noticed that the cold weather kept all other boats on their docks, leaving buttery water for us to slash. We were all smiles as new board after new board appeared under our feet and “One more double-up!” echoed across the lake time and again.
Boards tested this day: DoubleUP – Collin Wright 137, Neptune – Abyss, Hyperlite – Project, Free Motion – Escape
Approximately 30 boards will be ridden and noted for their ride-ability in five categories:
Surfing, spins, inverts, double-ups and an overall rating. Be sure to check out the results in our April issue of WaterSki. SUBSCRIBE NOW!!!
Looks like fair weather is in the plan for this weekend (Jan. 29-30). More updates to follow.
