Wakeboarding, music and a road trip… Ski Centurion and Connelly/CWB announced the Locals Tour 2000 in April and the excitement has been building ever since. Duncan, Phil, Pete and Tony-four locals from Northern California-and their band Storytyme will visit over 30 cities nationwide, focusing on getting locals everywhere out on the water, having fun on CWB gear behind the Ski Centurion Eclipse V-Drive with the Air Warrior wakeboard package.
As the Locals head for the road with the backing of sponsors Ski Centurion, CWB, RBK Towers, Sony and Wake Boarding Magazine, they've caught the attention of other big names who have joined in to bring the fun to you.
Free Locals Tour T-shirts and action wakeboard posters featuring CWB riders will be available at all tour stops, courtesy of BaySport. BaySport is the 2000 sponsor of Team CWB and supplier of the high-tech advanced Baydur. polyurethane resins used to build the core of CWB wakeboards.
Skunk Records, a Californian punk label, will be promoting the Locals Tour in music stores along the tour route. Come tour day they'll be on site, giving away CDs to lucky music lovers.
Tech Deck by XConcepts will be on hand starting in July, offering hundreds of mini CWB wakeboards-featuring six popular CWB graphics.
