If you could change one thing about the sport of water skiing?
I would educate water skiers on how to pass legislation to designate certain ski lakes for water skiing only.

Running my first 38-off at Lake Wellington in Madison, Georgia.
Worst moment?
Trying to be funny by jumping up on the grind rail for wakeboarding while on my slalom ski at the Charleston, South Carolina, tour stop and face planting in the water.

Almost. October 9, 1999, to Sheri Birkmaier.
Skiing goals for 1999?
Remain in the top three in the World Cup events and win an event.
Favorite tournament?
Moomba Masters.
Favorite athlete?
Herman Meyer. He won three gold medals at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano.
Training schedule the week before a tournament?
Monday – two sets; Tuesday – one set; Wednesday – two sets; Thursday – one set. Straight through the line to 41-off and then back down to 32-off.
Ten minutes before you ski, what are you doing?
Complaining about the lame music that they play at tour stops and trying to convince myself that four hours of sleep is OK.

No, I don't think so.

People who throw temper tantrums after having a bad ski set.

Teaching my kid how to play golf.
