A Day in the Life

Skiing can be such a solitary sport; it's easy to forget that, on any given day, thousands of skiers across the country are doing just what you are. We picked a given day — Saturday, Aug. 26, 2006 — and asked nearly 100 skiers to take photos to show what skiing meant to them. We sorted through almost 2,000 images for this photo essay to capture the essence of skiing today.

To view some of our favorites, including many we just couldn't fit into the photo essay in WaterSki's June 2007 issue, click here.
