Pick The Right Line

As an avid water skier for almost 40 years, I was a little disappointed in this article. I wonder why more thought has not been given towards developing a good recreational ski that shoots big spray. I would start off with a flat bottom so that the spray shoots higher and maybe add some rail grooves for better holding. It's also been my experience that rounded bevels as opposed to cut bevels shoot a better spray.
I use to have a massive spray when I skied on a 2001 mapple,
and even tho I have put on 25 pounds of body weight since then (cheap beer ) I am unable to mount the same impressive wall of water since I now ski on a high end Nadar ski,with tennis shoes as binders, and on occasion I get rattled on the finish of the turn, and throw up a broken sprinkler spray.

I still ski on a Jobe professional purchased in 1977 and I can still produce a 20' spray. The difference between now and then is the length of time I can spray. In 1977 all day, now maybe 10 minutes. I have tried alot of skies pushing 600 to 800 dollars in cost and nothing compares to my
67" Jobe with wore out bindings.
