GET IN THE ZONE

About an hour before I ski, I find a quiet place where I put on my headphones and try to get into the zone. I drift away and visualize my upcoming set. Visualization is huge; It allows me to see myself skiing exactly how I want to ski before hitting the water. Then, about 20 minutes before I ski, I go through a dynamic warm-up — lunges, torso twists, squats and other exercises my girlfriend Jenny LaBaw, a personal trainer, designed specifically for water skiing.
