Four Pro-Approved Ski Escapes

We spoke with a handful of water ski pros to find out where they travel in the offseason and came up with these four hot spots for winter water ski vacations. The following locales offer warm water, professional coaching and plenty of family-friendly attractions for both skiers and non-skiers alike.

Ski Nautique Club Caraibes

Club Caraibes is an awesome winter getaway. French skiers Brigitte Lethem and Laurent Guy run the club, which is located on a protected lagoon in the middle of the island. The lagoon is surrounded by trees and a golf course, so it stays glassy and consistent. Brigitte and Laurent run a full-on ski school there, and it’s a great place to take the family. In addition to skiing, they’ll show you around the island and clue you in on other fun places to visit, like beaches, casinos, restaurants and nightclubs. The club is part of a local hotel, so you can get all-inclusive packages through the hotel, or you can find your own accommodations around the island. There are all kinds of places to stay, from palatial rental homes right on the ocean to cheap hotel rooms where you can drink beer with the boys. – Matt Rini
