Lake Chacabuco
During the American winter, I like to head south to spend as much time as possible coaching and skiing at Lake Chacabuco near Santiago, Chile. I work as a visiting coach through Chacabuco Ski School, and they often have other pros visiting to coach as well. The site is beautiful, and it’s close enough to Santiago, which is one of the most metropolitan cities in South America, that I can stay in the city and enjoy all that it has to offer and then train at the lake without too much travel time. The amazing views and landscape of the area, along with the great people who ski there, make it the ideal place to supplement my season. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a new winter ski spot. – Seth Stisher
