The 2012 Malibu Open hosted more than just record-breaking runs. This year saw the first annual WATERSKI Awards ceremony, where editor Todd Ristorcelli honored ten of the world’s best water skiers in the following categories: Male and Female Slalom Skier of the Year, Male and Female Tricker of the Year, Male and Female Jumper of the Year, Ambassador of the Year, Skier of the Year, and Male and Female Junior of the Year.
