Male Tricker of the Year
Advancing into his 30s has not diminished Aliaksei Zharnasek’s athletic ability. If anything, the past two years have represented a surge forward for the 32-year-old, who last year established a new world record with an astounding 12,750 points and had a big win at the world championships. He fired things up again this March with a victory at the Moomba Masters, and then, one week later, he claimed a World Cup title in Mandurah, Australia. To hone his skills, Zharnasek does a lot of trampoline work and also sticks close to his coach, Camilo Espinosa. Zharnasek has great alignment and has made a religion out of balance. Because Zharnasek has learned to keep his axis straight throughout his spins without the aid of the rope, the rope is then freed up for another purpose: initiating his spectacular mobe spins.
