BEHIND THE PHOTO: “Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who’s lake is the glassiest of them all? Tough to answer, but there’s certainly enough butter to go around at the Utopia River Ranch in San Marcos, Texas. I spent two chill days at the ranch last fall, skiing and ‘shoosting’ with Trent Finlayson and Nick Parsons before competing at the Katy Ski Jam. Good times here — perfect weather, four-wheeling, cows mooing on the banks, and weird moments with Nick perfecting his yodelling skills.
