Two-time world slalom champ Thomas Degasperi at your service at the T-Gas Ski School.
When it comes to water-ski schools, Florida has plenty. In fact, there are probably more ski-school options in the Sunshine State than anywhere else in the world. One ski school that is fairly new, and has a big name attached to it, is the T-Gas Ski School, in Winter Garden, Florida. It’s there where you can ski with the current world slalom champion, Thomas Depasperi, aka T-Gas. When he’s not skiing at events all over the world, Degasperi really enjoys coaching and helping skiers at all levels. Having practically grown up at his parents’ ski school (Sci Nautico) in Trento, Italy, he understands how to bring out the best in his students.

“For me, the challenge is to break bad habits and see how quickly I can make a difference in my students’ technique,” he says. “It feels great to see them smiling and enjoying the experience.”
I myself am a student at T-Gas Ski School, and I’d say it’s a nice, quaint place to ski and hang out, and Degasperi always makes it fun. His lake, which is located right off Reams Road, close to Mickey Mouse and the Disney property, is well protected and extremely secluded.
“I love my lake,” Degasperi says. “We’re the only house on it, and it reminds me of what Florida is — the lily pads, the trees — that to me is Florida.”
