Edging for Air

In order to edge your ski properly you must keep your head up and your shoulders level. Your weight should be on the inside edge of the foot closest to the wake, with your arms nearly straight and your hip dropped over the edge of the ski in the direction you want to jump. It’s important that you continue to hold maximum pressure on the ski through the wake. When you let the pressure of the tip of the ski and the pull of the wake do the work, lift is achieved without trying to jump off the wake. This edging technique also puts you in perfect position to land and go right into your next trick.
