Want to throw a little creativity into your wakeboard sets? Then add this neat twist – the front-side 180.
As the name suggests, you want to come in front-side, with your toes pointing toward the wake. Approach the wake much like you would if you were doing a front-side jump – take the same edge (Photo 1). Once you're in the air (Photo 2), let go with your dominant hand, or the hand on the same side of your forward foot. For example, if you're right-foot-forward, let go with your right hand. Next, open your shoulders to the horizon and stand tall (Photo 3).
By letting go with your dominant hand, you'll naturally rotate. To give yourself a little more momentum for the trick, rotate the board by moving your hips and shoulders simultaneously away from the boat. This will help move the board around and land you in the revert position (Photo 4).
