Look: No feet

OK, so peeling the water with your palms isn't exactly barefooting. But try teaching a slalom diehard or a wakeboarder how to hand ski. Trust us. It's only for guys and gals who can make tracks without the help of fiberglass. A word of caution. Try this only if your shoulders, arms and wrists are healthy.

1 Float on your back with one foot in a toe harness.

2 Roll onto your stomach and hang one ankle over the opposite foot.

3 Arch your back and drag on your breast bone with your arms extended over your head until the boat gets up to speed (20-25 mph, and still accelerating).

4 When you're planing on your chest, lift your hands off the water, move them towards your hips and do a push-up.

Setup

Make sure the boom is set up high and the harness or handle is wrapped tightly around the bar so the rope is only a few inches long.

Basic Equipment

A toe harness will keep your feet steady in the handle.

Men, you'll want to wear a cup, or you'll be talking soprano.
