Turn style

By applying the lessons learned in “Intensity 1,2,3,” you should be early and wide in the course before the buoys instead of being wide at the buoys.

This is the result of level-3 intensity. The ski is released wide from the boat, and I'm transferring more weight to my front foot for deceleration as I start my reach to the boat.

I'm standing proud, with weight evenly distributed over the ski. My hips, knees and shoulders are all in line. I'm now at full-extension.

Right now, I'm thinking about being centered on the ski with as little upper body movement as possible. My rotation has started before the buoy, and as I bring the handle in, my shoulders and hips are rotating.

Now I'm letting the ski finish its natural rotation. In this position, don't try to force the ski around with your back leg. Think about even distribution. I'm now in great position for acceleration, and I'm starting intensity level 1.
