When you're towing long distances, keep only a half-tank of gas (or less) in your boat. Going over dips on the interstate and turning off exit ramps can cause a full tank to vent and splash onto your boat, trailer and swim platform.
In many cases, when you get to your destination, the gasoline is cheaper than at the station next to your house. Plus, you'll carry less weight and have better fuel economy. – Harold Page
