Making Waves:Coyle's Components

Want a system that sends ripples down the lake? Then take a gander at what's inside Tim Coyle's Volante:



Head unit – Jensen 80-watt CD, AM/FM stereo receiver. Designed for marine use.

Front speakers (under bow rail) – Two Jensen 6-inch component speakers with separate midrange tweeter combo and Nitro crossovers.

Rear speakers – Two Jensen 6-inch by 9-inch coaxial marine speakers.

Subwoofers (under bow seats) – Two Nitro 10-inch subwoofers.

Amplifier – Jensen 500-watt amplifier.



Other components in Coyle's boat, for use in shows only, include:

12-inch Nitro subwoofer mounter in a 40-quart cooler.

Two 6-inch Jensen woofers; one mounted in a bait bucket, one mounted in a gasoline container.

The matching tweeters are mounted in soda cans.

200-watt Nitro amplifier powers all show equipment.

All cabling and hardware in the boat is made by Sound Quest.

Both batteries are 12-volt deep-cycle marine batteries made by Optima.
