It happened to wakeboards. It was bound to happen to their sit-down cousins. The newest kneeboard to hit the wakes this summer will be O'Brien's Lowrider directional twin-tip, the first board exclusively designed for the new generation of boarders looking for big air.
“The combination of hard edges and directional design really makes a difference in how high I can get off the wake,” says Jonathan McDonald, the former pro tour champion who designed the Lowrider, the first kneeboard from O'Brien since 1993.
Featuring O'Brien's popular Force Dispersion Kneepad with internal knee supports and Cinch 2:1 strap, the Lowrider ($374.95) will be showing up in pro shops this spring.
For more information, write O'Brien at PO Box 97020, Redmond, WA 98073-9720. Or call 206-881-5900. RS 156.
