Road Shows

If you've been to a Pro Wakeboard Tour event in the past couple years, you probably saw MasterCraft's road rig blocking out the horizon. This year the parking lot will be even more crowded as several pro riders have decided to take overpass-scrapers onto the highway to promote their sponsors as well as the sport.

Chris Bischoff set the pace with the purchase of his 40-foot Eagle bus over the winter. Then Cobe Mikacich and Greg Nelson, being the competitors that they are, soon began shopping for equal rigs. Look for all three along the Pro Tour route, each with their own sponsor-splashed buses.

Bischoff, who hit the road in April with girlfriend Lucy and two dogs, is committed to putting on nearly 60 clinics and on-the-water demos at Tigi dealers in the surrounding areas of the Pro Tour. After the first two stops in Florida, Bisch will be working his way up the East Coast through mid-June. Look for the Eagle to make its way through California, Oregon and Canada and finish out the summer across the northern states before heading back to Dallas for Nationals. With the support of sponsors like Shift, Split and Spy, there's a good chance you may catch Bisch and his crew at several of the SX and National Motocross events as well.

Cobe hit the road in April, using his bus to provide a better means of travel to tour stops and other wakeboarding events, but has open invitations to anyone who would like to come out and hang with him as he trains. There's a good chance you can meet up with several other pros who will be jumping in the rig with Cobe for demo days at pro shops around the country. Look for secret footage in videos coming out later in the year from Cobe's road show.

Finally, the second round of the “Double Up Wakeboarding Experience” will provide over 55 days of free wakeboarding events. Mountain Dew and All Star Cafi have sent Nelson out on his adventure starting April 6th, to visit Doubleup and Correct Craft dealers from coast to coast.

To join some of the sport's top pros during their travels, contact your local Tigi or Correct Craft dealers for details.
