MasterCraft Stars In Marine World's ''Ski Xtreme''

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 4, 2002

Vonore, TN – Four MasterCraft ProStars will be making a big splash at Six Flag’s Marine World this summer. After a 3-year hiatus from the park’s show schedule, Northern California’s favorite ski show is returning to Lake Chabot.

Since the early 1980’s, Marine World’s Lake Chabot has hosted a variety of MasterCraft sponsored ski shows, water-ski tournaments and even the Pro Tour, making it the region’s most popular ski show venue. But in 1999 the park discontinued its long-running ski show schedule in favor of a new stunt show.

''Our research shows that people want the ski show back,'' says Kirk Smith, group director of Marine World promotions and advertising. ''We’ve had a long lasting relationship with MasterCraft and we’re happy to have them back in the park.''

This year’s ''Ski Xtreme'' show will feature 10 athletes and 4 MasterCraft Prostars. Beginning on March 16, 2002, two teams will go head-to-head in an awe-inspiring competition of high-speed slalom, trick skiing, ski jumping, barefooting, wakeboarding, hydrofoiling and para-sailing. Two MasterCraft ProStar 190’s and two ProStar 19 Skiers will tow the patriotic blue team vs. red team show.

''Along with Florida’s Cypress Gardens, Marine World has been one of the most popular and well-attended ski shows in the world. We’re happy to bring the excitement of water ski shows back to the Bay Area,'' said Rob May, MasterCraft’s director of marketing.

Each season, Six Flags Marine World welcomes over 1.7 million visitors from around the world. For more information on Six Flags Marine World, visit www.sixflags.com/parks/marineworld/home.asp.
