National Junior Water Ski Teams Announced

Top junior water ski athletes from across the nation have been
selected to the National Junior Water Ski Team and the National
Junior Development Water Ski Team for 2003. The selections, decided
upon by the American Water Ski Association’s Junior
Development Committee and International Activities Committee, are
based upon tournament performances during the 2002 tournament
season. The teams are comprised of athletes currently competing in
the Boys and Girls (2 and 3) age divisions.

Selected to the 2003 National Junior Water Ski Team were:
Danyelle Bennett, Cale Burdick, Kyle Dammann, Tyler Collins, Travis
Feldheger, Chelsea Hurst, Alex Lauretano, Morgan Pavur, Stephen
Seal, Ian Trapp, Mandi Williams and Tomlin Wilson.

Selected to the 2003 National Junior Development Water Ski Team
were: Rebecca Bond, Amanda Burney, Aaron Curmi, Prescott Fulton,
Caroline Hensley, Shea Holbrook, Zachary Jansen, Mathew Karempelis,
Keri McClure, Olivia McDonald, Taylor Pavur, Jonathan Paulovich,
Dakota Peterson, Adam Pickos, Krista Rogers, Haley Runion, Sarah
Seeley, Ryan Selsor, Storm Selsor, Jenna Sligar, Courtney Swift,
Skip Wintter, Zack Worden and Michael Young.

As members of the National Junior and Junior Development Water
Ski Teams, athletes are eligible to receive top-level water ski
instruction at one of three junior development training camps, to
be held in the spring. The camps will feature elite athletes and
coaches working individually with each junior in the slalom, tricks
and jumping events. Aimed at identifying and producing future elite
athletes, the camps are funded through a grant from the United
States Olympic Committee.
