MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour Announces 2005 Schedule

Building on the most successful year ever for the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour in 2004, the MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour is ready to roll into the New Year with the announcement of the 2005 season schedule, which will include return visits to four of five host cities and also to a great former site, Blue Lake Park in Portland, Oregon.
“We've found a good formula over the past couple of years,” said Terry Dorner, vice president of the Pro Wakeboard Tour. “These cities have been great in building a buzz for the sport of wakeboarding, making it the fastest growing watersport in the world.”
This season kicks off with the inaugural event at the Orlando WaterSports Complex April 28-May 1. Danny Harf, who finished second in the Indmar Pro Wakeboard Tour Season standings, returns as the defending champion of the Orlando Tour stop.
Phillip Soven will look to defend his title at the Reno Tour stop, where he earned his first pro victory last year.
MasterCraft will be the exclusive towboat for the Pro Tour, as it has been since the Tour's wakeboarding events began in 1992. Indmar Marine Engines will provide the power for MasterCraft's line of competition towboats, the X Series.
In addition to MasterCraft, sponsors for the 2005 will include SeaDoo watercraft, Perfect Pass, Hyperlite, Toyo Tires, KMC Wheels, Verizon Wireless, Liquid Force, Gator Boards, CWB, Jobe, Double-up, Blindside, O'Brien, Cassette Wakeskates, Billabong, Reef, Body Glove, UGP, Epiphone Guitars, buywake.com, Love Sac, Capix Helmets, Indo Boards, Execute, Mikker.com, Wakeworld.com, Wakeboarder.com, Monster Towers and Say I Won't and One Percent Design.
