RistoCLERMONT, FL – WaterSki magazine's Pro Slalom Shootout will return on June 13-14 with new events and more sponsors, including Correct Craft, Malibu and MasterCraft. For the second year, WaterSki has teamed up with WebCast-TV to present the two-day event via live webcast on waterskimag.com.
The tournament and webcast will kick off at Swiss Ski School at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13 with a traditional RC men's slalom round. Later that day, the top 12 finalists from round one will compete in the 38 Off Spin It To Win It event, in which athletes run continuous 38-off passes until they fall or give up.
Day two begins at 8 a.m. on June 14 with the Cold 39 contest, pitting the same finalists against each other in a battle to see who can score the most buoys when they begin at 39½ off without any warm up. Next, a one-round, Class F Pro-Am tournament will involve skiers from the Ultimate Fantasy Camp '07. Finally, the Shootout will end with the Team Challenge, as Correct Craft, Malibu and MasterCraft team skiers go head to head in five different heats.
