With a record participation of athletes from nearly all the Spanish autonomous regions, the 2009 Spanish Nationals were hosted by Seseña WaterSki.The site of the 2008 Senior Worlds, Sesena’s facilities feature two man made lakes that provided excellent conditions, and many records were beaten throughout the weekend. The international first class jury was led by president Mr. Roy Collins from the UK.

In Womens slalom, the region Castilla-La Mancha skiers won every medals. Three members of the same family, a mother and two daughters, got in a thrilling final and took home all the medals. For the first time, the youngest member, Sandra Botas, beat sister Nadine by half a buoy and mother Cristina by one buoy to take the gold. Nadine took the silver while Cristina, who was the slalom record holder for ten years, got the bronze.

In Mens slalom, catalunian skier Ivan Morros took first place, breaking a three-way tie at 39 off by scoring 1@41 off.
In Mens jumps, the gold went to Catalunian Lluis Noguera. In Womens the title went to Aida Pintó.
In Womens tricks, Julia Medrano received the gold medal. In Mens, the gold went to Lluis Noguera.
