The 52nd Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament will be held May 27-29, 2011, at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia, during Memorial Day Weekend.
Nautique Boats has named Jeff Smith the Chief Judge of 3-event waterskiing and Shawn Perry as the Chief Judge
of wakeboarding and wakeskating for the 2011 Masters.
“It’s an extraordinary opportunity to serve the world’s top water ski athletes and to work with the great team that Nautique has put together,” Smith says.
“It is a tremendous honor for me to be named as the Chief Judge of the 52nd Masters. This is the pinnacle of all watersports events and continues to bring the most elite athletes to the tranquil waters of Robin Lake,” Perry says.
“The Nautique team is thrilled to once again be putting on the Masters Waterski & Wakeboard Tournament,” says Bill Yeargin, Nautique’s President/CEO. “The Masters is always an exciting event and is universally considered the most prestigious event in our industry. The industry’s best event requires the industry’s best boats and Nautique will be providing them once again.”
An invitation to compete in the Masters is universally considered an acknowledgement of achievement for reaching the pinnacle in a given watersports discipline. Only the world’s most elite athletes compete at the Masters.
