Nautique Boats announced today the additions of Nate Smith and Natallia Berdnikava to its team of professional athletes.
Twenty year-old Nate Smith took the water ski world by storm in June 2010 when he finished second at the Global Marine Invitation, his first professional tournament. In addition, Smith tied the Men’s 1 National record held by Chris Parrish with a run of 5@41-off. Smith is also ranked third in Men’s Slalom on the world ranking list, a huge jump from 59th in 2009.
Current World Trick Record holder Natallia Berdnikava began professionally skiing in 2004 after winning numerous Collegiate National titles and a National Collegiate Jump record. Berdnikava is a two-time U.S. Masters Champion, the current Moomba Masters Trick and Jump Champion, and the European Overall Champion. Berdnikava is ranked first in Women’s Tricks and second in Jump on the world ranking list.
“We are excited to add these two athletes, who are extremely talented young people, to our team of professional skiers,” Nautique Boats President/CEO Bill Yeargin. “Both Nate and Natallia are incredible athletes both on and off the water.”
