Description: Designed in the 1970's by a group of skiers from the Ski Club of the Palm Beaches, Okeeheelee Park is a public facility reserved exclusively for water skiing. Multiple slalom lakes run both north/south and east/west to maximize skiable water in a variety of conditions. There is also a lake devoted to jumping and wakeboarding. The lakes are maintained under regulations to ensure safety and efficiency. Okeeheelee Park has been the site of nine National championships as well as the AWSA World Water Ski Championships in 1999. Most recently it was the site of the Challenge the Pros Tournament, the first pro tour stop of 2006.
