Upside: As slalom boats go, this is one of the best stern-drives at slow speeds and longline – wakes are narrower and softer than most. Great entry/exit for a small boat.
Downside: We'd like to see an arm pad for better throttle control. Barefoot wake crest is overdeveloped.
Overall Impressions: Clean and well-finished, the 175 is a winner – at both ends of the rope. Testers commented on its clean layout (and easy clean-up with the self-bailing cockpit), and the slalom crew gave high marks for slalom wakes that are narrow and soft – perfect for beginners and experienced skiers alike.
