Whoever invented the sport of ski flying can surely attest to the benefits of a good jump
helmet. But in case you haven't heard, let's explain: Boat goes fast. Skier goes faster. Skier flies a loooong way. Skier bumps noggin on water first several dozen attempts. Ouch.
A good helmet is a must for any serious jumper, flyer or anyone else who might take a spill in pursuit of the long poke. And even though Sammy Duvall's Bell Jump Helmet looks like your standard-issue black melon protector, it's designed for the serious air freak. The inside polypropylene layer takes multiple impacts, while the outer shell is a modified rubber styrene to ward off heavy blows. Rattle your brain just for that few extra feet? Not necessary. There's also
water-relief venting on the sides to prevent bucketing and a four-point chin strap so you don't lose the helmet in case of a real digger.
The helmet is available in black only, sizes small, medium and large.
