Today's top boarders want big wakes, but they also want to shape and fine-tune these wakes to their individual riding style. They want a boat that turns easily for the double-up – even when it's loaded to the max – and they don't want to clutter the interior with a stack of ballast bags. Instead, they expect lots of interior room for their bros, tons of board storage and a rad sound system.
To meet the needs of the increasingly sophisticated riding public, Tigi has created the 21V Riders Edition. It's a wide-body, 21-foot sport-V inboard designed specifically for the serious boarder.
This all-new model rides on a TAPS-equipped variable hull with a V bottom, a narrow Delta pad and a notched, deep-riding transom – a hull design which allows the Riders Edition to produce a maximum wake at boarding speeds without the need for excess ballast or additional underwater hardware. By incorporating the Tigi TAPS system into the hull, riders have the capability to fine-tune the wake shape and height to their personal liking.
The boat's rear engine configuration not only moves wake-enhancing weight to the rear, but also creates a huge viewing arena where the crew can watch the action and get stoked on tunes pumping from the acoustically engineered stereo system.
Boards stash in the side-opening lockers, ready for quick access from the cockpit or the platform. Need more storage? Lift a few seats and you'll find plenty of room for everyone's gear.
The standard 6-foot extended pylon provides the optimum pull height, but to really max out the Riders Edition buyers should order the powder-coated tower. It provides a rock-steady pull, stores extra boards, folds flat in less than a minute and is styled to match the boat's lines.
