Moomba created this unique boat to serve the large family wanting the room and amenities of a recreational runabout with a conventional stern-drive, but the performance, power, speed-holding ability and handling of an inboard. They also claim the deep-vee keel provides a smooth ride in big water.
The key to this boat is the innovative interior layout. The Kamberra Walkabout is the first V-drive to offer a transom walk-through. It’s ideal for people who don’t like scrambling over their upholstery to get to the swim platform. Combined with the large open bow, this boat has the most open feel of any V-drive. Comfort is never an issue in the Kamberra; it has 13 cup holders, grab handles everywhere and, of course, a built-in draining cooler. There’s immense storage in the forward ski locker and behind the observer’s seat. It comes with a custom-adjustable driver’s seat, Teleflex tournament controls and tilt steering column, a Momo performance steering wheel and complete tournament instrumentation with dual speedos.
This boat definitely combines it all. It has good recreational skiability and wakeboarding characteristics. It’s difficult to weight with fat sacs because of the asymmetrical stern configuration, but it provides adequate wakes for intermediate riders right off the trailer.
