Family

Moomba tags the Outback as an entry-level family water-sports boat, ideal for the first-time inboard buyer. For a value boat, it has plenty of features.
The bow is one of the deepest, biggest openbows in the business.  Plus, it has hinged cushions with carpeted storage areas under the seats. The motor box has a rear-facing seat for additional passengers to view the rider. At the helm you get Moomba’s clean, functional dash with big Beede gauges, including dual tournament speedos. The tilt steering column from Teleflex is standard, as is its rack-and-pinion steering system. There are even two driver’s-side cup holders for the thirsty captain. Another outstanding feature of the Outback is its giant trunk. It is one of the biggest storage compartments out there and can probably hold three boards and more.
We like this boat for mid-to-high-end skiers looking for good wakes, power and handling with solid tracking. It may amaze you to know that you can get a 20-foot inboard boat with Indmar power, 100-percent hand-laid fiberglass unibody construction, Teleflex tournament controls and a trailer for around $22,500. But you can only get it one place – the Moomba Outback. The Outback is certainly one of the best values in boating. It’s a sports car at an economy car’s price.

UPSIDE
It has great multi-sport functionality and wake performance at an economical price.
The chill factor is high because of the gigantic bow space perfect for a day of cruisin’.
The cockpit area provides safe, clear visibility, which is important to everyone on board.
The Indmar Assault engine packs plenty of punch out of the hole and has no problem recovering speed out of a turn or when coming back into double-ups.
Don’t be afraid to over-pack. This beauty’s got more storage than you’ll ever need.
Sporting a synthetic carbon fiber design, the dash looks sleek and stylish.

DOWNSIDE
The boat’s tracking could be further improved when pulling aggressive riders.
