Designed with a semi-vee for all- around performance, Supreme markets this as a family water-sports boat with great value, performance and features. Furthermore, the manufacturer packs the boat with a lot of accessories usually offered as options.
For a value boat the Sky Supreme has plenty of features, the most distinctive being the innovative rear trunk storage access. You can either access it traditionally from the ski platform, or by lifting the entire rear bench, which hinges up to expose not only the large trunk but also under-seat storage and the battery. The snap-in carpeting in the front is a pleasing bonus, and our test model featured one of the most functional stereo remotes we’ve seen. Sony designed it to have large, easy-access buttons and a display that shows the station readout. The angular tower is sturdy and has built-in board racks.
The Sky Supreme has a very deep hull with a high freeboard that gives a sense of security. You also get a feeling of enhanced comfort. True to form, the wakes are suitable for multi-sport versatility. Even though this looks like a pure wakeboarding boat and has the name of a pure rider’s machine, you can do anything behind the Sky Supreme.
UPSIDE
Solid wakeboard wakes and fairly small slalom wakes allow respectable multi-event performance.
High freeboard gives a sense of security and comfort.
Innovative rear trunk storage is user friendly and easy to access. A spacious walkthrough to the open bow allows easy access. Stereo controls in the dash are well positioned and have great functionality.
The back seat is cozy for three people with plenty of legroom.
The cooler under the rear seat is large and easy to reach.
DOWNSIDE
There are no passenger grab rails in the main cockpit area.
Acceleration to 36 mph and the top-end speed are below average in its class. If you want more power, opt for the MerCruiser 350 MPI, 315 HP.
