Multi-Sport

Supra designed the Sunsport V to have the performance characteristics of a world-class wakeboarding boat but with a richer styling. They designed its running surface to combine plenty of transom lift for minimum bow rise, flat cornering and soft wakes. There’s a deep-V entry for smooth ride in chop, but fins underneath to retain the inboard handling and feel.
Supra’s optional Hippo ballast system turns the Sunsport V into a real wakeboarding boat. This system utilizes three independently controlled bags that can be customized to hold up to 900 pounds of water ballast. Perhaps the most notable aspects of this boat are the seating options. First, there is Supra’s Playpen bow. This creates a variety of seating options and provides extra storage. Even more interesting is the new stadium seating. The Sunsport V quickly converts from standard V-drive seating to a layout where at least seven people can be seated in the main cabin facing backwards watching the action. Plush 40-ounce carpet is everywhere, and there are finished details throughout the boat, like stainless-steel grab handles, rub rail, transom eye, rear ski tow eye and platform rail. Plus, it has more than enough cup holders to accommodate the whole crew.
This V-drive turns well, handles great and rides super smooth. It’s an awesome luxury runabout that also doubles as a world-class wakeboard boat if you include the wakeboarding package.

UPSIDE
Built from the same hull as the Launch SSV, it is a fantastic family boat with the wake attributes of a high-performance wakeboard machine.
Incredible driving characteristics with superb handling, tracking, and maneuverability.
With the room and smooth feel it is great for open lake, rough water riding.
Padded walk-through to open bow serves as a wind-block, additional seating and extra storage.
Playpen area in the bow allows for a comfortable and relaxing sun deck within the boat.
Pop-up cleats give the boat a polished look and allow easy tie-ups to the dock.
Excellent storage capacity throughout the boat leaves plenty of room in the interior after equipment is stowed.

DOWNSIDE
Access to the captain’s chair is fairly tight and the seat does not swivel.
For such a well-handling boat, grab rails would be beneficial in the main cockpit.
