    The Maristar 230VRS moves MasterCraft out of the realm of only building performance ski boats. This is the biggest boat MasterCraft makes, and the company claims this boat is aimed at that person who owns top-of-the-line everything and wants to spend as much time in the boat as he does behind it.    
    At 22 feet, 8 inches long with a 98-inch beam, this boat has every imaginable luxury and convenience topside, but the real benefits occur beneath the deck. This MariStar is defined by a deeper vee and therefore offers a totally different ride than the tow-oriented MasterCrafts. It is much smoother in rough water with its 26 degrees of deadrise, so it has more recreational driving characteristics. The MariStar Vector Drive propulsion system on the 230 VRS has countless safety and performance advantages over I/O’s. It has less draft for greater safety in shallow waters, has less bow rise on takeoff for better visibility and because there is no exposed prop it is much safer for swimming. The underwater gear set right in the prop stream gives the MariStar instant response and precision control I/O’s only dream about.      
    If you want to ride, the wakes are world-class, size and width. If you want to hang out, it doesn’t get any better. So whether you are an avid water-sports enthusiast or just want a solid, classy cruise around the lake, the MariStar 230 VRS is an incredibly impressive machine.

UPSIDE
The Pro Tour status wakeboarding wake is huge and the interior space is massive, yet it still has amazingly prodigious power for a boat of its size.
Tracks with the authority of a true slalom boat and all the benefits of a V-drive.
Plush wrap-around seating creates a social atmosphere for families and allows for a comfortable ride in rough conditions.
An optional storable cocktail table is great for entertaining guests.  
Ample storage throughout the entire boat accommodates equipment for the whole family.

DOWNSIDE
Vast rear storage, but when filling fat sacs the optional soap dispenser and battery are a hindrance.
Rear passenger cup holders need to be better reinforced in the vinyl.
