The MasterCraft X-10 fills a niche between its hardcore rider’s boat, the X-Star, and its big-family, big-water, luxury rider’s boat, the X-30. They say it’s the perfect big or small V-drive. That latter statement is quite telling because at under 21 feet long, the X-10 is one of the better-handling V-drives on the water. However, its 95-inch beam makes this boat very social, easily holding 10 passengers.
This deep V-drive also handles big waters and big-time ballast weighting without a problem. The X-10 has every feature in the book. The Zero-Flex Flyer tower comes standard with built-in racks, the driver has a custom brushed aluminum dash with chrome bezeled gauges, depth finder, stainless-steel bow hand rails, tilt steering column, polished aluminum shifter knob and steering wheel and the MasterView driver’s bolster seat. Complementing all this is the sound system driven by Clarion’s waterproof AM/FM CD stereo, subwoofer and amp.
The X-10 definitely satisfies the needs of hardcore riders. With its triple KGB ballast system, the wakes are sized to accommodate all levels of wakeboarding. While it’s tough for a wakeboarding boat to do everything, the X-10 comes close. We think it may be MasterCraft’s best all-around wakeboarding boat.
UPSIDE

Optional cocktail table is a killer feature for evening cocktail cruises.
Optional bow filler cushion converts into a spacious and comfortable playpen.
The driver seat has swivel capabilities and is fully adjustable.
The standard depth finder becomes helpful when navigating in unfamiliar waters.
The MasterView seating increases driver vision and security in a sizable boat.
Polished wood-grain dash and steering wheel adds a plush touch.
Plenty of cup holders (10) and great cooler access are welcomed accommodations in this party cruiser.
Two 12-volt adapters are perfect for multiple fat sac fills or cell phones.
DOWNSIDE
Grab rails would be a beneficial addition for rear passenger security.
Rear passenger cupholders need to be better reinforced in the vinyl.
