This is one of MasterCraft’s new models for 2002, and it is what MasterCraft describes as a double-duty boat with a brand-new hull and a split personality. They have designed this hull so the wakes are crisp and firm at low speeds, then soften as your speed increases.
This boat is a real surprise. You expect every MasterCraft X-series boat to have the meaty, clean wakes riders crave, solid towers and perfect handling. What you don’t expect is for your slalom friends to be ecstatic running the course behind a boat with a tower. The X-7 is somewhat of a departure for MasterCraft. It is a slalom boat with a wakeboarding attitude. Yes, it has a tower and a single bag ballast system in the rear, but this boat is really the world-class slalom machine, the ProStar 197, with some wakeboarding features.
The X-7 is a lot roomier than you expect from a sub-20-foot boat thanks to the step-through bow and the cool convertible jump seat. The stern of the boat has this wide rear bench that is convertible to a sun deck. It has the beautiful standard brushed aluminum dash with servo-driven electromechanical gauges. Regardless of your sport, you’ll love the layout and performance of this sub-20-foot boat.
