MasterCraft Boats 2002 ProStar 19 Skier

Buoy Chaser

Recommendations:
Hardcore Slalom

MasterCraft bills the ProStar 19 Skier as a hardcore ski boat. Although it is the least expensive boat in the MC line, the manufacturer does not intend it to compete with entry level-priced boats. They say it is more of a purists’ boat – one for someone looking for a quality boat that will last a lifetime as well as one that has world-record-capable towing performance. The 19 Skier is MasterCraft’s value boat, but nowhere did the company scale back its commitment to construction excellence. It is built exactly the same as all the MasterCrafts, so the 19 Skier has the solid ride expected from a MasterCraft.
This boat also has some beneficial touches and finishing. The black, no-glare dash is highlighted by large dual speedos and a tach front and center. The driver also has a comfortable console with a built-in cup holder and custom steering wheel. The rear bench either converts to a sun deck or removes completely to make it easier to get to the platform.
Proof of this boat’s skiability lies in the fact that the hull was the top-of-the-line MasterCraft ski boat a few years ago. Its wakes are still world-class for slalom. This hull is slightly smaller than the new ProStar 190, so it’s a little more nimble plus it is a great value. When it comes to skiability, the 19 Skier sacrifices nothing.

UPSIDE
A maneuverable and responsive boat combined with high-end, tournament-level slalom performance that skiers of all abilities will love.
For a smaller boat, the interior comfort is outstanding. Provides deep driver and passenger seating.
Swivel pylon cuts down on the wear and tear of the towline.
The clamshell engine compartment design provides easy access to the motor and keeps items on the floor from being lost.
The removable back seat easily converts to a sun deck, which is perfect for lounging and sunbathing.
