    It’s still the biggest. Hundreds
and hundreds of boats have charged through the test pages of
WaterSki, but none has equaled the size of Centurion’s
Tsunami, the 30-foot wakeboard monster that does everything in a
large way.

    Wakeboarders will thrill to watery
half-pipes. Although it comes with an easy-to-use ballast system,
there’s not much need to load the Tsunami with extra weight
to get monster wakes.

Aside from taking wakeboarding to new
heights, Centurion is at the forefront of the wake surfing frenzy
currently picking up steam. Surfers will catch a wave
for…well, we surfed the Tsunami’s tsunami for the
entire length of the lake (again and again). You can toss the
handle and just ride the wave with this baby.

Everything about the ride is like
nothing else in the water sports market. The boat can reach speeds
over 70 mph aided by the dual-step hull, which was developed from
offshore race-boat technology. With wraparound and open-bow
seating, up to 12 can hop aboard. If anyone needs a nap,
there’s the 6-foot, two-person cuddy cabin ahead of the bow
seating area. A hatch in the center of the large bow gives
ventilation and access to the cabin.

How do you drive this behemoth? Just use
the Mercury-made System View SC 5000 dash displaying varied
GPS-driven features such as speed, vital systems, location and
more. An optional Smart Craft glass cockpit unit makes for great
navigation.

    We only stopped playing with…er,
testing it because the sun went down.

The lowdown:

  • It’s one-look-and-you’ll-choke-on-your-sandwich big.
At 30 feet, the largest of the tested boats sports room for
    12—including the cuddy cabin.

  • Although it’s equipped with a ballast tank, it’ll be
a rare occasion when you’ll have need for it. The sheer size
of the Tsunami is enough weight for the beefiest of wakes.

  • It’s all about wakes with the Tsunami, with top-tier
boarding double-ups and nice swells for extended
    surfing—without a rope.

  • This boat is loaded with features that will please everyone.
