           If
everyone in the family is pulling you in different directions about
your boat choice, pull it together with a real crowd-pleaser:
Correct Craft’s Air Nautique 206. This open-bow inboard
combines just the right slalom performance for Mom and Dad with the
perfect recreational to mid-level launching ramp to satiate the
wakeboarding kids and their buds.

           Trust
us, it’s always a good idea to keep the rabid boarding horde
happy. One look at this Air 206 and they’ll hoot and holler
(in a good way) over the patented Flight Control Tower and dual
independent, factory-installed rigid ballast tanks that boost the
weight by 324 pounds. As with every boat in the Correct Craft line,
the tracking and handling of the Air 206 are phenomenal.
There’s virtually no side-to-side movement with a rider or
skier in tow, and the boat can turn on the proverbial dime. Perhaps
even more impressive is the solid ride for the posse onboard.
Absolutely nothing in the boat rattles, and we don’t mean
just in glassy conditions. We’re talking rattle-free runs as
it conquers the double-ups without a
flinch.

           The
Air 206 has another top feature of the 2003 models: the enhanced
Smart Pod, Nautique’s all-electronic keyless ignition that
combines driver comfort and convenience. And we dig the new gauge
package, featuring highly advanced 5-inch Faria readouts, along
with the keyless ignition and the fully digital remote for the
Clarion AM/FM/CD stereo. Everything else you need is also within
easy reach, including the battery, drain plug and bilge.

           The
crowd-pleasing continues throughout the interior, which combines
convenience and functionality to satisfy all passengers.
Considering its smaller width amidships, we found more than enough
walk-around space throughout the main cabin. Besides being
extremely comfortable and offering ideal incline, every seat in the
house allows easy access to a grab rail for those high-powered
turns. Convenient storage is available for boards and more in the
electronically lockable rear storage compartment.

           So
go ahead, invite the crowd — and don’t be surprised if
your boat selection gets a standing ovation.

The Lowdown:

•The TSC2 hull is designed with reverse chines,
spray-relief pockets, a dispersion tunnel and performance strakes
that give the Air 206 slalom wakes that pros can take to 41
off.

•High-energy wakeboard graphics mask a skiing machine.

•Tapered windshield design allows nonrestricted
communication with dropped skiers and riders.

•Correct Craft’s stringer system consists of aircraft
aluminum, biaxial fiberglass and special foam to form a backbone
that provides a super-solid no-rattle ride.
