           MasterCraft
has reason to celebrate its 35th birthday. The occasion
marks a long history of producing world-class ski boats with wakes
that are arguably among the best in the industry. As a special gift
to the 2003 lineup, MasterCraft is releasing the 35th
Anniversary Limited Edition ProStar 190 Stars & Stripes model.
The only thing it’s missing is the wrapping paper and
ribbon.

This is simply the best-looking ski boat that MasterCraft has
ever made. Sporting a custom black and white striped gelcoat,
drip-molded stars-and-stripes design and a load of bells and
whistles, this model is worthy of its place in company history. And
it will go down in history as one of the rarest — only 35 are
being produced.

The 190 has come a long way since the first one popped out of
the mold in 1968. With MasterCraft’s pioneering technological
advances during the past three decades, it’s a boat that
keeps getting better. The 190’s EVO hull, in its third year
of production, has been engineered to reduce the running surface,
which allows a narrow and silky-soft table through a broad range of
speeds and rope lengths. The flared hull has not only allowed
personal bests and world records, but it enables passengers to
spread out much more than they usually could in a sub-20-foot
boat.

When it’s time to relax in this skiing weapon, the
interior offers soft perforated vinyl embroidered with
35th anniversary logos. A new observer seat features a
perfectly inclined and contoured backrest that provides a
comfortable ride, especially when mowing over rollers.
There’s also a wide bench seat near the transom that easily
converts into a super-size sun pad. The windshield frame is
stainless steel, and it comes with an upgraded Clarion stereo
system with titanium speakers.

No matter where you look in this boat, it literally shines with
pride. The rub rail, windshield, dash appliques and exhaust tips
are all stainless steel. The underwater gear is even more
impressive. The prop and tracking fins are not only stainless,
they’re customized with the cast MasterCraft logo. It’s
the minute details that put this boat on a silver platter and make
it a true limited edition.
