At a hair under 21 feet long, the MasterCraft X-9 will fill the
void for families looking for a versatile boat with wakeboarding
flare. Mom and Dad will be stoked with the wake performance for
skiing, while the kids will be buffed out in one of the
hottest-looking rides around as they fly skyward on advanced-sized
wakes. Outfitted with a solid Zero Flex tower, new clamping board
racks, double KGB ballast system and killer new graphics for 2003,
the X-9 draws attention on any lake.

We liked the roominess that the X-9’s 96-inch beam allowed
for a direct-drive boat. With plenty of side-to-side room to
navigate around the engine box, this boat welcomes the large crew
shuffling between lounging in the open bow and putting on boards
and skis in the back. Stash the convertible jump seat and convert
the rear bench into more sun-deck space to customize the interior
for your needs. It’s all good.

The Lowdown:

•Wakeboarders get a clean and long ramp with above-average
wake size for a direct-drive.

•The crossover performance between riding and skiing is a
strong suit.

•Skiers will enjoy a tournament-certified wake.

•Stainless-steel and chrome accents give the X-9 a durable,
polished appearance.

•New special-edition clamping board racks, new graphics,
chrome steering wheel cap and shifter knob, and a new pylon
top.
