On premier wakeboarding boats, it don’t mean a thing if it
ain’t got that bling. The Supra Launch SSV has that shiny
bling-bling factor everywhere you look, for high-end style to
complement its high-end performance.

Few boats beg to be tricked out as much as this one does. Like
most Supras, the Launch SSV features the standard sparkle and
durability of stainless steel in a variety of places: the rub rail,
the interior grab rails, the rear grab handle, the transom and bow
eyes, the swim-platform rail and the trailer’s bolt-on
fenders. Take it to the max with the optional stainless four-blade
prop and — our favorite — the stainless Rad-a-Cage tower. Envious
boaters on the lake will see you twinkling from miles away.

Then, when you’ve got their attention, blow them away with
the serious wake activity exploding out of the back. This Supra
model comes standard with the three-bag, 900-pound capacity ballast
system. With the boat fully loaded, the wakes we boarded on were
— let’s go to all capitals here — HUGE. In fact,
everything was impressive: the smooth and long transition, the
large landing zone and the clean double-ups. Tracking was excellent
with weight, the responsiveness was predictable and the drive
through double-ups was strong and stable.

When not boarding, we preferred to catch some rays in the plush
open-bow playpen with double-up flip-up seating, or to watch the
show from the convertible rear-facing stadium seating. Everything
is plenty padded and plenty big, including the swim platform.
Standing there, we could use the optional stereo remote on the
transom to pump up the volume coming out of the 800-watt amp, two
tower speakers, six cockpit and bow speakers, and 10-inch
subwoofer. Just make sure your music choice lives up to the
boat’s style.

The Lowdown:

•Pro-level wakes excel in all aspects, from the size and
shape to the transition and landing zone.

•Comes standard with the three-bag ballast system, one in
the center and two in the rear

•Great storage capacity in the “basement”
oversized equipment locker, as well as in compartments in the
rear.

•Stainless-steel features are available throughout the
boat, including a stainless Rad-a-Cage tower.

•Cockpit features easy-to-read Beede gauges, bolster seat
and comfortable armrest.
